What are Pastor Tyler's sermons
like?
– By
Rebecca Harris
If you've not had an opportunity
to meet Pastor Tyler or visit
the church for one of our
services, I urge you to give it
a try.
When you join us, you're sure to
enjoy Pastor Tyler's
"down-to-earth", funny,
and cheerful
personality, as well as his
ability to
put you at ease right away.
The combination of these
characteristics, along with his
passion for delivering God's
words, makes each of his sermons
interesting, and keeps the
congregation
engaged.
Pastor Tyler successfully adds
humor and fun to his sermons, as
he rarely goes without sharing
some hilarious - sometimes
embarrassing "real life
story."
His stories will not only make
laugh, but often help you
understand how his
message can apply to your life,
and your daily interactions with
the world around you.
Pastor Tyler is a man of God who
is refreshing to listen to,
enjoyable to be around, and is
approachable. He looks forward
to meeting each visitor
personally and makes every
effort to do so.
Pastor Tyler, his wife Melodee,
and their two boys (Jake and Alex) are not only leaders in
the church, but are members of
the very community we live in.
My family has enjoyed getting to
know the Pastor, his family, and
many of the other families of
the congregation, while
attending Delano Assembly of God
over the last two-years.
We urge you to give the Church a
try, as we are confident that
you too will discover a great
friend in the pastor, a
comfortable home in the church.
and wonderful family within the
community of the folks who have
made this Church their home.

What to expect when
attending a Sunday Service:
We hope to make you
feel welcome and
comfortable. |
Options available during
the 10:30 am service:
–
Nursery: Birth to 3 yrs.
–
Children's Church: 4 yrs. to
4th Grade |
The Service:
-
In the first few minutes of
the service, Pastor Tyler may
say a few words of greeting,
as well as open in prayer.
-
Then the worship team leads
the congregation in a few
songs. We encourage a
time of praise and prayer
during this portion of the
service.
-
Next, the Pastor encourages the
congregation to say
hello to the folks
around them, gives a few brief
announcements, and then
dismisses the children for
children's
church.
(A special time just for
the kids - supervised/taught
by other parents or adults in
the congregation.)
-
Finally, Pastor Tyler shares
his sermon.
Arriving Sunday Morning:
Each Sunday morning, you will
be greeted with a friendly
"hello", a smile, a handshake,
and a bulletin/program.
Our
greeters are comprised of
families from the congregation
who will greet you at the
front door and at the
sanctuary doors.
Before the Service:
The Foyer
If you arrive before the service
begins, we usually have coffee
and doughnuts in the foyer for
you to enjoy.
The Nursery
If you are a parent of small
children, 3 years and under, our
nursery will be ready to receive
them. Stop by, just before the
service begins, and get
acquainted with the teachers and
the other children that your
little one will be playing with.
The Sanctuary
When you're ready to head into
the
sanctuary, feel free to be
seated wherever you think you
would be most comfortable.
In the sanctuary, news, events,
and announcements are
prominently displayed, via
overhead projector, to keep you
up-to-date.
Fashionably Late:
If you arrive after the service
has begun - no problem - our
ushers will help you get
seated.
The Music:
-
All songs are prominently
displayed, via overhead
projector, so it is easy to
follow along.
-
Our music/songs are more on
the contemporary side.
-
We have several worship teams - singers
and musicians - that are comprised
of various folks from the
congregation and are rotated
consistently to keep things
interesting and fresh.
-
We also have special music
provided by individuals in
the congregation each week
during the offering time.
-
If you play an instrument or
sing and
are interested in being a part
of the music ministry, please
contact
Luke Frederick or Juliene
Muhlbauer.
